DAY 4: The sound of more than one hand clapping

 Good afternoon!

Obviously that link was not from my own project, but I was inspired to google "clapping" due to my theme for the day, and that is what I found. Super creepy and amazing all at once.

So, Day 4 turned into a bit of a stressful day. My little perfectionist voice was strong and persistent through my shift at work, and therefore added to a pretty high amount of tension. Due to this, I thought it would be a brilliant idea to head out for a drink after work with some co-workers, and it was perfect. I would like to mention here that I have never actually gone out for drinks with coworkers after work at this job before, so that in itself was a new task! In the moment, however, that didn't cross my mind, so I still decided that I had to complete my new task for the day. Several ideas flew around the table, but in fact I had already done most of them before, and that not too many of them would actually make me happy. I have come to a conclusion that 90 percent of ideas that come out of a bar/ pub atmosphere are not really happy ones. So, in future, it would be best to complete something before this point in the night! Again, lesson learned.

That said, it was suggested that I start up a slow-clap in the pub, which is exactly what I did. Now, keep in mind that the majority of the room of people was probably intoxicated at this point, but people loved it. They all joined in and pretty soon the entire room was clapping and cheering and completely involved. The funniest part is that none of them had any idea why we were clapping and cheering, and there was no reason, and no one even tried to impose a reason by shouting something like "Ya, beer!" which I would have expected. Everyone was perfectly happy to clap and cheer together for absolutely no purpose. Amazing. We are such pack animals, us humans.

Love and Kindness all.
